Tdap or Tetanus-Diptheria-Acellular Pertussis Vaccination and Meningococcal or MCV4 Vaccination

There are two final walk in clinics for students who are in 7th or 8th grade to receive a vaccination: Germantown Health Center, 12900 Middlebrook Road in Germantown, 20874, from 8:00 AM ? 4:00 PM, today, September 22, 2015 and tomorrow, September 23, 2015, AND, Silver Spring Health Center, 8630 Fenton Street, Silver Spring, MD. 20910, today, September 22, 2015, from 8:00 AM ? 4:00 PM, and tomorrow, September 23, 2015, from noon ? 4:00 PM.

Maryland public school students entering 7th and 8th grades for the 2015 academic school year must show proof of vaccination against Tetanus-diphtheria-acellular pertussis (Tdap) and Meningococcal meningitis (MCV4), in accordance with Maryland state law. Students not in compliance with the immunization requirements will be excluded from attending school until documentation of the required Tdap and MCV immunizations is provided.

Parents have been notified through letters about the need for vaccinations since early Spring 2015, and letters are currently out to parents who have not yet vaccinated their child.
