ACCESS to Behavioral Health and Crisis ServicesFind more information from the following link(s):
Access to Behavioral Health Services provides screening, assessments and resources for mental health and substance abuse problems for low income Montgomery County residents who do not have health insurance (Medicaid). ACCESS will work with adults and children regarding resources for mental health and/or substance abuse needs. (Screening and Assessment Services for Children and Adolescents (SASCA) also serves children with these substance abuse issues. When requesting services, a telephone assessment is completed to determine clinical and financial eligibility for consumers of all ages who need referrals to public services. After a telephone screening, walk-in behavioral health screenings/assessments are offered Monday through Friday, at 9 AM and 1PM on a first-come, first served basis for adults. Customers may arrive 30 minutes prior to the office walk-in times for a visit that may last several hours. Office address is: 255 Rockville Pike, Rockville, 20850. Access does not provide treatment but coordinates referrals to appropriate services. To reach someone in the office, please click service request button below. Access is not an emergency or urgent care service. A high insurance co-pay does not qualify someone for the public mental health or substance abuse system. If private insurance does not cover mental health services, documentation would be needed for this on the insurance letter head before proceeding with services. If you would like to be contacted about resources, please send a service request by selecting the "service request" button below.
