The program offers well and sick care, prescriptions, Dental care and limited specialty care. An application for CFK can be made through any of the three MAGI Units: The Germantown MAGI Unit: 12900 Middlebrook Road, 2nd Floor, Germantown, MD 20874. Fax number: 240.777.3563; Rockville MAGI Unit: 1401 Rockville Pike, 1st Floor, Rockville, MD 20852. Fax number: 240.777.1013; Silver Spring: 8630 Fenton Street 10th Floor Silver Spring, MD 20910. The Care for Kids Program has a one year recertification period. The date of the recertification is listed on the actual card when a customer is approved. Recipients of the program are told that the recertification due date is on the card; they are encouraged to recertify 30 days in advance of the date on the card, and they are also told that they will NOT receive anything in the mail to notify them of the recert.

Note! At the present time, the eligibility system has changed, which is causing some delays in case processing. It can take up to two months for a card to be issued to an eligible family. As a result of the delay in the system, the CFK staff are calling eligible families when cases are processed. Please call the number printed on a mailed notice or letter, or contact 311 for further assistance.

To speak with a Customer Service Representative, please call 311 during business hours.
