Recreation Junior Counselor Program

Ages 13-16

The Junior Counselor position (formerly known as the Counselor-in Training (CIT) position) is part of a leadership training program that provides an opportunity to develop leadership and recreation skills while providing program support. Teens must commit to assisting for an entire two-week summer program session. In order to be eligible to register for these summer sessions, teens must complete the mandatory leadership training. All summer assignments provide training, the opportunity to work with children and to enhance leadership ability. Student Service Learning (SSL) hours may be earned upon successful completion of the program.
