Office of Consumer Protection Location and Contact Information

The Office of Consumer Protection (OCP) is an agency that enforces the County's consumer laws, investigates and conciliates consumer-merchant disputes, mediates disputes between local businesses for free, licenses and registers certain businesses, provides outreach and education to the community about consumer protection issues, and administers the County's Domestic Worker Law.

Effective October 11, 2017, the office has temporarily relocated to 1451 Seven Locks Road, Rockville, Maryland, 20854 for effective October 11, 2017 for approximately one (1) year. The phone number is 240.777.3636 and the fax number is 240.777.3768. Office hours are from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM Monday - Friday and walk in hours are 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Friday.
