Master Electrician's Original Signature Required on Electrical Application (as of 07.05.2016 Electrical Permits must be applied for online / Paper applications no longer accepted)

As of July 5, 2016, all Electrical Permits must be applied for and issued electronically. Paper applications will no longer be accepted. In order to apply online via the Department of Permitting Services (DPS) site, Electrical Business(as)/Electrical Master(s) must have an account set up by the department with a single email address on record for both licenses. Electrical Business' can set up their account by coming into the office at 255 Rockville Pike, 2nd Floor, Rockville, MD 20850 or by sending a request for a user account to dps.eServices@montgomerycountymd.gov, if you are licensed.

Once an email address is provided, DPS will send an automated invitation to the applicant. They can then follow the instructions to set a private password to be used along with the provided email address to login and apply for permits using the eServices page.

Online users who have additional questions and would like to be contacted by a departmental staff member may submit a request by clicking on the Create Service Request button below. Please complete all of the fields in the Contact Information section, provide the property address in the Service/Incident Address information section and provide a brief description of the request in the Brief Description field.
