Stranded Travelers Assistance

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Emergency Services Office may be able to financially assist stranded persons with a grant for returning home. These customers are not Montgomery County residents but are those who came to the area temporarily (a few days or so) and now are seeking to return home. Customers need to verify the home to which they are trying to return. They may be eligible for assistance in returning. Customers may also contact Traveler's Aid: 202-546-1127, or go on the Traveler's Aide web site (link below).
