Retiree - Summary of Benefits Coverage Mailing (SBC)
The Summary of Benefits Coverage (SBC) outlines coverage for each health plan available through the County as required under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010. The requirement to provide SBCs does not apply to retiree-only plans; therefore, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Indemnity plan is not included in the SBC.

For help understanding the SBCs, call the Insurance Provider listed on the back of your insurance card. These phone numbers are also listed on the Health Insurance Contacts list at the top of the Office of Human Resources (OHR) Retiree Health Insurance Materials page.

A copy of the SBCs can be printed from the Legally Required Materials section of the OHR Retiree Health Insurance Materials page. If copy of the SBCs cannot be printed please call 311 (240.777.0311) or 877.613.5212 toll free and a copy of the SBCs will be mailed to you.
