Health of Streams in Montgomery County

Stream conditions and watershed health are mapped based on the Index of Biological Integrity (a composite matrix combining biological data collected on benthic macroinvertebrates and fish populations in the streams). These watershed health conditions maps are revised annually to account for data collected in the most recent year. The DEP Web site includes watershed descriptions and historical information from the Countywide Stream Protection Strategy.
