Head Start Program

Head Start is a program offered through Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS). The Pre-Kindergarten/ Head Start program serves low-income families with children who will be four years old by September 1 of each year. Parents may apply for the Head Start Program at the Pre-K/Head Start Administrative Office located at: 4910 Macon Road, Room 143, Rockville, MD 20850. The program is inclusive of children with disabilities. There are limited spaces available in select areas of the County for Head Start income-eligible children who will be three years old by September 1. Annual registration will take place in March. Walk-in applications are accepted Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Rocking Horse Road Center, 4910 Macon Road, Room 143, Rockville, Maryland 20852. Specific documents must be provided in order to be considered for the program. A U.S. Birth Certificate or U.S. Passport will be needed.
