Medical Care or Healthcare for Homeless Adults

Montgomery County residents who are experiencing homelessness and have medical problems may be eligible for health care through Healthcare for the Homeless. Primary medical care is provided by a nurse practitioner or doctor in a clinic near the shelters. Some health care is available onsite at the shelters. Nurse case managers work onsite at various shelters to assist clients with medical needs.

Referrals to the program come from local shelters and community based providers only, an individual cannot self-refer. Homeless individuals living on the street should contact one of the shelters to be referred for care. The Crisis Center of Montgomery County can be contacted for a list of shelters.
