Smoking Ban Law, County Owned or Leased Property Including Bus Shelters and Parking Garages

Enforcement of smoking ban law (Bill 33-12, MC Code 24-9), prohibits smoking on County owned or leased property. This includes smoking in County vehicles; visitors or residents of County buildings who are smoking; and bus stops with or without shelters and County owned parking garages.

Violations at County buildings should be reported to the building manager. Employees smoking in County cars should be reported to their immediate supervisor. Any individual observing a smoking violation at a bus stop, or other violation should be reported to Health and Human Services, Licensure and Regulatory office.
