Ride On Route 301 Between Tobytown Drive and Rockville Metro Station, Effective Sunday October 2, 2016

Beginning Sunday October 2nd, Ride On will begin new service between Tobytown Drive in Potomac and Rockville Metro Station via Shady Grove Hospital. Major roads served will include Travilah Road, Wootton Parkway, Falls Road and Great Falls Road. The new route is called Route 301.

Riders will be able to connect to Metrorail and other Ride On services at the Rockville Metro Station and several other major points of interest along the route which include:

Thomas S. Wootton High School

Robert Frost Middle School

Travilah Elementary School

Nancy H. Dacek North Potomac Community Recreation Center

Potomac Oak Shopping Center at Travilah and Glen Roads

Glenstone Museum (limited service)

Rockville Library

Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center.

Route 301 will operate seven days a week, between approximately 6 AM and 7 PM. Please reference the link below for the bus schedule.

During the introductory period, bus fares will be free. Beginning November 21, 2016, standard Ride On fares and discounts will apply; these include free fares for seniors and persons with disabilities from 9:30 AM to 3 PM Monday through Saturday and Kids Ride Free from 2 PM to 8 PM Monday through Friday.

During the initiation period, the new route 301 will be white with the Montgomery County logo. In addition, the bus will be operated by a contractor and cannot accommodate bicycles nor will Ride On Real Time be available to access arrival information. The bus will be replaced in approximately one to two months with a traditional Ride On bus that will have the standard features.
