Personal Days Usage

All full-time employees receive 3 days of personal leave at the beginning of each calendar year. Employees who work part-time or begin employment after the beginning of the calendar year receive a pro-rated amount of personal days.

Personal days must be used in the calendar year in which they are received. Personal days do not carry over to the next year, and there is no grace period for using personal days in the following calendar year.

Additionally, personal days must be used as an entire scheduled day. They cannot be broken up into a comparable number of hours of leave. For employees who work 8 hour days, personal days must be taken in 8 hour increments. Employees may not, for instance, take 1 personal day as 4 hours of leave on 2 separate days.
