Furnace Repair or Replacement

The Office of Home Energy (OHEP)/Maryland Energy Assistance Program (MEAP) Programs have a furnace repair/replacement program offered during the winter months (November through March), for eligible MEAP customers who are homeowners. A customer must be receiving MEAP, or have applied and been found eligible for MEAP. If an eligible customer notifies the office that their furnace/heat pump is inoperable, a referral will be made to the State Department of Housing and Community Development, for the office to send a vendor to the customer's home. This program is dependent upon available funding, which will be made known to customer at the time of referral.
