Riders may reload a SmarTrip card with only 2 taps. It used to take three taps to add value, now 2 taps is all it takes to reload a SmarTrip and pay. A new ringtone tells when a card balance is low. The second tap adds value AND deducts the bus fare at the same time! A friendly ringtone is audible when a fare is paid just means the SmarTrip card is running low on value.
