Employee - Termination of Health Insurance
The date that health insurance ends depends on the circumstances. When an employee leaves County employment, the last day of coverage will be the date the employee received their last pay. (However, the employee will not receive coverage for any pay received due to severance or leave pay-out.) Coverage also ends when a dependent turns age 26, or the day a divorce is filed by the court. For applicable events, COBRA will be offered and a notice will be mailed out.
