Testing a Well
Testing of new wells is required and may be conducted by the County or by a certified private lab. In the case of existing wells, the analysis must be done by a private lab. The Department of Permitting Services encourages homeowners to use only those labs that are certified by the State of Maryland- Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Please refer to the DPS website under Permits, click on Well & Septic then County Well for further information.
